Hey everyone, I am a Chinese-American high school student under 18yo applying college in a year. Like everyone, I’m looking for scholarships, but specifically, I want to see if there are scholarships for students who demonstrate outstanding foreign language proficiency.

In the future, I want to major in business and global marketing, so of course, foreign language is a key benefit. However, I do not want to major in foreign languages, as many of these scholarships are geared towards. I mean, many “Americans” have diverse backgrounds and do know some sort of foreign language, and many, in fact, are taking one if they don’t. But I doubt many high schoolers have the ability to write with professional and unique style and publish articles and novels in that foreign language to an extent that equals their English language skills, and oral skills too.

I know the Confucius Institute hands out scholarships for American students who wish to study abroad in China, and others like Startalk too, but for students who demonstrate spectacular writing levels, I’m not very sure.

ALSO, do anyone know of any prestigious summer internships and volunteer in China?

THANKS VEWRY MUCH
