Scholarships for high TOEFL scores, which colleges?

I just received my scores and my total was 116 points out of 120. I saw on the website of for example St. John’s University that a high TOEFL score gives you a bigger scholarship.

Are there any other colleges which have a similar approach and have stated or proven this?

I have never heard before of any place that offered a scholarship for a specific TOEFL score.

St. John’s University has a long history of rewarding students of high academic achievement regardless of their financial need. SAT scores in addition to transcripts are required to evaluate for merit awards, and no additional application is needed for consideration. Merit awards range from $5000 to full tuition.

We do not have financial aid available for international students. Nonetheless, our scholarships for international students are very competitive ranging from $5,000 to full tuition.

Considering the fact that St. John’s does not meet 100% demonstrated need for domestic students and no financial aid for international students, I would not be doing a happy dance because of a $5k scholarship for a TOEFL score when tuition is $38,630. It may end up being the only monies that you get from them making the school unaffordable if you need significant aid to attend.

Some universities will consider the high TOEFL score to complement their evaluation, especially when they don’t want the sat. I know Hendrix does, for example.
As was said above, what matters isn’t the scholarship but your net price.
