Hi,

My name’s Kristin, and I’m new, so hi to you all!

I am wondering if there are any scholarships or grants out there that could assist in repaying my loans? I went through DeVry University for my Bachelor’s in CIS and then went through their sister school, Keller Graduate School of Management to earn to Masters degrees (MISM and MBA).

I made a huge mistake in not applying for scholarships when I was in school - most likely due to having two jobs and going to school full time!

Is there anything out there to help me repay my loans?

Thanks in advance, this looks like a great community!

I do not think you will find scholarships that will pay for your loans after the fact. Please don’t think I’m being flip…but the best way to repay those loans is to get a full time job…maybe get a second small part time job in the evenings and dedicate that income to only paying off your loans. Live with a friend to save money. Drive an older used car or use public transportation. Set yourself up with a budget based on your expenses. Prioritize your desires and set them apart from your needs.

It sounds like you’ve been working very hard as it is. It’s no fun paying back loans, but you DO have your education and the prospects of better employment with that education. Good luck to you!!
