All scholarships and grants have requirements that you have to meet before they be award to you. For example, if you qualified and have large financial need, you may get up to $5,645 (2013 Pell grant) from Federal government. <p>The best scholarships and grants are awarded by the colleges. Some schools have departmental scholarships for upperclassmen. Check your college.</p>
<p>As noted, you will need to meet some criteria to receive scholarships or grants…either need, or academic excellence.</p>
<p>There are no organizations that I know of that just give free money to college students without some kind of criteria.</p>
