Recently realized that I have missed most scholarship deadlines. I have gotten accepted into TAMU and Colorado School of Mines, but with little to no scholarship due to missing the deadline. Does anyone know of some scholarships still available or schools that tend to give a lot of money? Is it worth calling the financial aid offices?
(Was recommended to Ole Miss and Arkansas, Ole Miss scholarships have passed, but I could apply for Honors college at UARK which looks like a bit of scholarship).
I’ve seen enough posts here about missed deadlines that I’m confident you’re not alone.
It seems you have 2 choices: risk that laughter or miss out on a possible scholarship opportunity. To me, it’s a no-brainer; I work way too hard for my money to give it up without a fight.
Are you a National Merit Finalist? That’s really the main $$ available at TAMU.
TAMU gives out scholarships super late in the game, I doubt you’ve missed anything there.
Super rare to get merit scholarships from TAMU though so if you don’t get anything it’s likely not due to a deadline and everything to do with the fact they just don’t give out much.
Or you could take a gap year…and do something worthwhile with your time…and apply for admission for fall 2019…meeting ALL of the deadlines for scholarship consideration.
