Scholarships with ACT 33 at a school with Physicians Assistant Program

I am looking for a school with a Physicians Assistant Program or a good biological sciences program where I would get some decent merit aide. My ACT score was 33 and I also have a very good ACT score. Midwest area preferred but not required. Any suggestions?

Take a look at Pitt. 33ACT is kind of the minimum to get merit but there are probably other factors so you might get merit. They also have a Guaranteed Admittance Program for PA but that would be an extreme long shot even if you are invited to apply.

Duquesne $10-$20k merit possible (free online application until Dec)

St Francis University (5yr PA program, application priority date November 15)

Seton Hill (free university application, apply before Oct 15)

Their net price calculator should give merit and need based estimate https://www-2011.setonhill.edu/npc/index.cfm

UAB. Merit plus excellent PA school.

However, you do NOT have to go to an undergrad with a PA school. You can get great merit at a variety of good schools and then apply to PA school.

Unless you’re in a direct admit or guaranteed program, there’s no assurance that if you go to a certain school with a PA school that you’ll be admitted to that PA program.

UA also would give you a lot of merit.

What do you need your net cost to be?

what is your SAT score?

As per above, scholarships are irreverent unless you can pay the actual COA. Lots of schools give out little bits of money, do you need a little or a lot? Define your yearly budget.

I have not taken the SAT, just the ACT. I am still researching tuition costs. I know UW-Madison is my home college and that is $25K per year. I know that will even be a stretch for me. I also am considering UW-LaCrosse as they have a PA school.

I don’t have a good reason why I am looking at PA-only schools. I just figured they would be familiar with and prepare students well for PA school.

Marquette University - expect at least $12k Pere Marquette merit award.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I really appreciate it.

I was starting out looking in the Midwest first but know of Alabama’s merit awards. Utah also was tempting but pretty far from home.

I will be applying to Marquette but wasn’t sure how affordable it would be.

No, they wouldn’t be doing anything differently.
