Scholarships

Is it required to give the real address for scholarships? Along with phone number and other personal information.

Well, if you want to get an award letter or phone call telling you you have won the scholarship, then I would say yes. How else are they going to contact you. Email is not the typical way for such important information - email can get lost, misdirected, end up in spam folder, etc. Why would you not want to give your information, if you want money from the organization?

If for some reason you don’t want others at your address receiving this information, perhaps it could be sent to your school? Schools receive all sorts of applications, etc on behalf of the student, so it wouldn’t be too weird.

You should definitely use a phone number you are comfortable with the ability to receive private information, if possible. Perhaps buy a prepaid phone? Those are relatively inexpensive and you just use it to receive scholarship calls.

nah just making sure its alright and stuff. how would you know if its a fraud?
