Are there any scholarships ( they pay $50,000- 100,000 straight; renewable, ) that don’t require me to win a national competition, be a science/math whiz, or go into a fields like journalism; science, or engineering? There seems to be no scholarships that pay that kind of money for a kid that is an academic high performer, top 10% of class, and extracurricular engaged who doesn’t want to win a competition or be a stem genius or go to into a weird field. I need a scholarship for the average academic achiever. I’m also a minority student.
There are very few private entities that have a vested interest in just providing large amounts of money.

Your best bet is applying to schools that will give merit for your stats.
Outside scholarships are really meant for high academic achievers who also have a unique story or very rare achievements outside of the classroom.
@CourtneyThurston do you know of any outside scholarships that are for kids who want to work in finance. My goal is to be a wall street banker, and become partner/managing director at an investment bank. I do invest in stocks and do expect to make an immense profit because of the recovery stocks are making from Brexit. All things aside, do you know of any outside scholarships for students who want to work in finance?
Can’t you just use your immense Brexit rebound profit toward college costs?
No foundation is going to subsidize a future investment banker. If you are certain of attaining your goal then you can take out mega loans and pay them back with your high earnings.
@Madison85 I’ll probably make $7500 off of Brexit. I lost $250, but now I made profited $7250. I don’t think that is really going to help very much with a school that costs ($44k- $65k)

I don’t know of any outside scholarships specifically for investment banking outside of the huge & uber-competitive investment banking firms.
