My son won a Scholastic Art & Writing Gold medal, and we are thrilled for him. We are planning to attend the Ceremony at Carnegie Hall, and we are hoping those of you who have attended can provide us with some more information so that we know what to expect. What is the best way to get good seats? Are the tickets for both parents and award winners general admission or do they have specified seating? Also, when do you find out who the keynote speaker is?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Mine was too long ago to be of any help but I just wanted to say congrats and have fun!! I went after my sophomore year and it was a great experience.
If I recall correctly, award winners sat separately from families. They may have put us in some sort of group or it may have been random but I don’t think we really got to choose seats for ourselves.
