<p>i have 2 pieces published in out-of-school journals…but I also have 2-3 pieces published in the school’s litmag and bio journal.</p>
<p>should i include the school ones on commonapp/resume to show a consistent pattern…or should i just list the out-of-school publication only?</p>
<p>You can place it in the school achievements section and list the out of school publications, or place it on the out-of-school achievement section and list the in school publications.</p>
<p>You can also place it on both sections and list the relevant awards.</p>
<p>Most admissions officers consider the whole file, and they’ll be intelligent enough to decipher it as long as you fill it out in a fairly rational way. Do whatever you think will show your accomplishments in their best light - the adcoms will understand.</p>
