School Advice for Running Start Student w/ 3.9 and 1300-1400 SAT?

Hello!

I’m just about finished with my junior year of high school (also freshman year of college–since I’m doing full-time running start). I’m planning on majoring in writing of some sort (English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Dramatic Writing, etc.). I took the SAT in March and got 1300, but I have gotten up to 1400 on my Khan Academy practice tests so I will be re-taking it in August. My R&W score is nearly always 710 (including all practice tests and sophomore PSAT), although most recently it was 720, and my math score fluctuates but is almost always over 600. I have a 3.91 GPA for high school, a 3.87 GPA for college, and have been involved in at least two theater productions a year for the last three years and am involved in vocal programs. I have participated in many clubs as well, have been published (twice) in my college literary magazine, and wrote a play that will most likely be put on next year either at a professional theater or as a staged reading at a smaller theater.

I was wondering if anyone has advice for what colleges would be good matches for my interests, and/or what my chances might be at some more prestigious schools such as NYU (Tisch), Emory, and possibly even Yale or Princeton.

Thanks all,

HW

A few things I forgot to mention:

-I’ve been in mock trial the past three years (attorney last year, lead witness two years previous)

-I went to Guatemala last summer and worked with local youth to build a school

-I will be working at a local food bank once a week this summer

-I’m currently in the top 3% of my class

Thanks!
