School doesn't offer AP and Dual Enrollment is too expensive. What should I do for college credit?

Hi! I’m hoping I could get some advice on what I should do - especially in regards to college credit.

So my school is a small private school and it doesn’t offer any AP courses. To make up for this, they had Dual Enrollment available for certain classes, but are now requiring students to pay for each class they want to be dual enrolled in. My parents already have enough stress paying for tuition, so they told me they wouldn’t be able to afford Dual Enrollment for me because it was too much.

Last year, the school paid for all students who were in Dual Enrollment for certain classes, and I got a transcript for that year from the University my school was partnered with. Now, even though I’m basically taking the exact same classes as students in Dual Enrollment, I don’t think I’ll be getting any college credit from the University. 4 of the 7 classes I’m taking can be taken as Dual Credit classes, but because i can’t afford to pay for Dual Enrollment, they’re technically all honors classes.

What should I do about college credit? On the unofficial transcript from last year, I was able to earn 10 credits. And even though I’m not Dual enrolled, the 7 classes I’m taking are still rigorous and take a lot of time (and have the same workload as those who are in Dual Enrollment), so I’m not sure if I should take more courses at a community college on top of my junior year workload.

Also, I’m sorry if I’m spouting nonsense or seem ridiculous. But my parents aren’t familiar with how colleges work here, and my school doesn’t even have a guidance counselor, just an academic director.

Talk to the academic director at the high school and see if a fee waiver is possible for classes taken through the school.

I would not overload by taking CC classes.

You do not need dual enrollment classes for college. You only need a rigorous curriculum with English, Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Languages and one more subject or art/music of your choice, at the most rigorous level offered by your school.
That being said, it seems tour small school is restrictive - might the local public school serve your academic needs better?

You approach the college for a fee waiver.
