Your family should run the Net Price Calculator at Northwestern, U. of Chicago, and Dartmouth. If they’re not affordable, eliminate them. And if about $75k/year isn’t affordable, eliminate UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Berkeley.
For U. of Maryland, make sure you apply EA, as they fill about 95% of their slights in the EA round.
