Anyone applying to Northwestern’s School of Education?
I’m interested in teaching English at the Secondary School level. Would it be better to apply to the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Education? Which one has a higher acceptance rate? (I know the School of Education is tiny, but they probably get fewer applicants)

School of Ed usually has lower average SAT than ArtSci. In some years, the difference can be as large as 40-50 points. I’d say it’s easier to get in even though I don’t know what the acceptance rate is.

If you want to go into Secondary Teaching, then SESP is where you should be. I’m not a big fan of trying to sneak into the university by applying to the “easier” school (not that I think WCAS is any easier/harder).
