So I heard that getting accepted into the engineering program (especially computer science) at UCLA is similar to getting accepted into the Ivies because of the high application numbers/low number of openings available. I also heard that if you get accepted into UCLA at any school but engineering, you have to sign a waiver stating you can’t transfer into engineering. How much of this is true?
There is no such waiver that precludes transferring into engineering. The HSSEAS is a fine school with a fine reputation. Your mileage may vary depending on whom you ask.
LOL…where do people hear this stuff? There’s no such waiver. Students transfer from the College to HSSEAS every quarter. It’s not easy, but people do it all the time. You just have to take certain classes and get at least a 3.5 GPA.
