Does anybody know anything about Davis’ future school of nursing? All I know is this:

“The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis anticipates admitting its first students in master’s and doctoratle programs in fall 2010. The bachelor’s in nursing program is expected to be launched in 2011.”

I’m starting college this fall, would I be able to get that bachelor’s in nursing? Since according to that date, I should have from 2011 to 2013 to take the courses necessary.

Yes, you would be able to. You just have to take some of the classes when you start. My friend is doing this next year. Just talk to your advisor for the class-specific details.

Good luck!

Thank you. I also have another question - since the bachelor’s in nursing program is so new, would the degree be respectable enough to get a job or to get accepted to nurse anesthesia program or a master’s level program?

I would say so - UC Davis is known for excelling in the health sciences, and I believe they expect competitive admissions into the School of Nursing, so I have no doubt you’d have a great shot at getting into those programs, provided you do well on the tests and work hard on your GPA!
