She should take another test than Math 1 since Math is presumably not her strong suit (otherwise she’d take math 2). English Literature, a foreign language, a history are all perfectly acceptable choices.
What about Emory? It might be a reach, but Atlanta has become a major center for the film industry. I would have suggested Emerson, in Boston, but I don’t think it would be a great fit for a social conservative.
MYOS1634 she will def. take the Engl Lit. but why not Math 1? I thought Math 2 was more for engineering/math/physics majors…her score on math 1 looks like around a 700 from practice now, and she won’t take it until May.
I may have missed it but are finances/financial aid going to be an issue?
Seconding Emory, adding Agnes Scott. Wilmington (uncw) is strong for television and film program /production.
You’re supposed to take the test in the subjects you’re strongest in.
Math 1 is almost useless - it tests the same material as sat reasoning, its curve is wicked, it 'signals’ypu won’t reach pre-calculus, and it doesn’t allow students to show strength in favorite subjects. Math 2 has a more generous curve and covers math through pre-calculus. It’s OK for everyone with a B and higher in pre-calculus. But it’s not necessary to take a math test for a humanities /socizl science/art student, unless they apply to test-flexible college’s AND won’t present sat/act results. Humanities/arts majors are better off with literature, history, foreign language.
finances are definitely an issue - her older sisters are a junior and sophomore in college respectively right now
