Schools accepting Fall 2014 Transfers still?

Hello,
I’m a student who has already transferred to a semi-prestigious school. My gpa is not impressive but above 3.0 and the school I’m at has a 15% acceptance rate I just am absolutely miserable. I’m also a rising senior in undergrad so I know that might cause trouble as well.

Does anyone know of schools that still accept transfers at this point for Fall 2014?

There are some but you need to provide more information, like your major. That being said, you mentioned that you already transferred once and that you are in your Senior year. Wouldn’t it be better to just tough it out and graduate this year? Transferring again might delay your graduation by another year.

I’m a psychology major. My gpa is 3.2 for more specific information. My friends and family have also said that but I hate every single moment at this school. It’s very expensive and I am stuck in the residential housing as well. All I see when I see my school are a list of negatives. The name’s prestige is the only good thing but as I’m a psychology major who doesn’t intend to go into research or further education using that I don’t really think it matters.

Well, it’s clearly your decision. Look for universities that have rolling admissions. If the school is on a quarter system, you still have some time, if on semesters, it is pretty tight. Some schools might make allowances if you call the Admissions office directly. I am pretty sure that my university would.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it a lot! I’ll look into schools with rolling admissions.

Keep in mind that transferring that late in your undergrad might prevent you from graduating on time. Different schools run courses in different sequences and have different graduation requirements. They may not accept credit for certain classes. If you transfer, just be aware that it could potentially result in an extra semester or two to graduate.

Thanks I think I will wait to see how I feel by spring semester or look into trying to transfer then. I appreciate the tips!
