Hi,
I’m trying to select some good places for study. One of more important criteria is that a school stands apart from the city. Nevertheless, it can be in a big city. But it must be an integrity, which means that it’s surrounded by beautiful gardens, parks, libraries, sport centres,… Buildings must not be scattered around a city. The whole place must be integrated. Do you have any idea how these things go with Harvard, UChicago, MIT, Northwestern, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Berkeley, NY, Columbia, Cornell, CMU, Duke, LSE…??

I’d rule out NYU based on what you’re looking for - definitely doesn’t have a centralized campus - NY IS the campus.
