<p>What are some good schools that allow you to major in two subjects?
I know Rice University is excellent, but what other ones?</p>
<p>I don’t know what the rules regarding double majoring at Berkeley are, but I know that it has great English and Engineering programs, if that helps any.</p>
<p>You may also want to look at liberal arts colleges that have 3/2 agreements with engineering programs at other colleges/universities. You could fulfill the pre-engineering sequence at College 1 in 3 years while doing a lot of English classes, and then move to College 2 for the final 2 years of an engineering program.</p>
<p>Generally speaking, engineering programs have such a large list of required coursework that it is hard to double major in a field that isn’t closely related. It is hard to finish just about any engineering program in only 4 years. If you really want this kind of double major, you’d be well ahead to plan on spending 5 years in order to complete both programs.</p>
