Some students are interested in becoming social warriors, some are less interested. I know about ranking colleges as liberal vs conservative. However, it is not the same, because “liberal” is defined as “party, artsy” and “conservative” is defined as “religious”, “dry”. I found a thread about Oberlin, where people write that “everyone knows that Oberlin is an activist college”. However, not everyone knows. Some people may be positively or negatively surprised by the social warrior movement that is very pronounced on campuses lately. Diversity does not correlate with social activity either. Interestingly, most “social warrior” schools are less diverse and whiter than “non-warrior” schools.
Is it possible to have a list of schools, known to be hotbeds of campus protest and liberal activism (example: Oberlin) versus schools that are not very engaged (example: Caltech)?
My list of schools for social warriors is below (in alphabetical order). I made my list of internet, so it is far from perfect. Please, feel free to add or subtract. Thank you!
