I realize that I’m super late, spare me the lecture please 
anyways, I initially applied to ucla (waitlisted, rejected) and uc berkeley (accepted but couldn’t afford) and am now planning on attending university of arizona in the fall. however, i don’t feel that u of a is the school for me, and I really have my heart set on california. are there any schools that would potentially give me a shot this late? At this point i’ll most likely take a gap year but figured it was worth a shot. stats are 4.5 w 3.8 uw gpa, 13 APs (4s and 5s) 35 act, nmf, varsity sports, math internship, etc. i’m from kansas btw
Are you specifically looking for California schools since you posted in this forum?
This list can help you but taking a Gap year and reapplying to a better set of colleges where you Stats will get you some good merit aid might be a better option.
