Schools I should consider

So for the past year or so I have been very interested into the medical field, and I did a lot of research into colleges for that field. However, I now realized that I truly enjoy working with such things as mechanical engineering would, it is a field I am very interested in, but have yet to find some things about it. My basic info I am trying to find is what schools I should consider, along with which of these schools I can be accepted to their engineering program, as I know the acceptance varies by major(U of I for example)

So here are my stats

UW GPA: 3.8
ACT: 32 (predicted)
Rank: Top 5%
AP: 10 classes by the end of high school
Extracurricular: 10 combined seasons of sports by the end of high school. Two sports with leadership. Also in club med, scholastic bowl, science club, and DECA (which I have won a few events)
Other: Work a part-time job at a grocery store, and promoted recently
Volunteering: 100 hours or so by the end of high school
Hook: none

Which schools am I a match for in the midwest?

Thanks!!

I won’t hazard any matches for you but if you want engineering and are interested in private schools, look at [Association of Independent Technological Universities: AITU](http://theaitu.org) in addition to the state schools you are looking at.

What IFs…will not get you anywhere. IF money is not a problem then you can apply to any schools. I suggest you apply 5 or 7 midwestern universities (state and private) and 3 or 5 out of states. Good luck.
