Schools in Chicago Area- liberal arts/performing?

Hi there! So I am looking for any school in the Chicago area that ideally is a strong liberal arts school with a strong theatre program. Honestly, I would be happy anywhere in Chicago, so if someone could help me fill in the gaps with my research and let me know of any schools I have overlooked, that would be helpful!

Also- my gpa is only a 3.71 unweighted, so schools like Northwestern and University of Chicago are reaches for me…if anyone knows of a good school in Chicago that would admit a 3.71 unweighted gpa, that would also be good information!

Schools I know of:

 • Northwestern
 • university of Chicago
 • Depaul Conservatory
 • Columbia College Chicago
 • Roosevelt University
 • Loyola
 • Lakeforest

Any schools I am overlooking? Also, if anyone can vouch specifically for any of the schools, that could help too.

Thank you! :)

DePaul may still be a reach, but it is an amazing performing school. Roosevelt and Columbia both have excellent performing arts programs. My cousin is at Roosevelt for voice and I know several students in the theater department at Columbia.

I would not consider DePaul a reach for this poster; 68% of admissions have GPAs 3.75 and below.
