Hi,
I recently visited Purdue and I generally liked it. I especially liked how many opportunities the school has for co-ops, jobs, even help in academics, the social scene seems great; also, the way Purdue’s club rowing team is set up is really nice (competitive but reasonable). I’m probably going into BME or cellular/molecular bio.
My question is, what are some other schools like Purdue, preferably closer to the Southern states? Or even what academically sound schools have really competitive club rowing?
Thanks!

Even if I am international Prospective Student I will try to help and tell you my opinion…
Purdue according to my reaseach (that is only by internet) is an amazing school in many sectors(Academically, Life there and job prospective) anyway… Purdue is not a southern state is school (i think-is some hours away from Chicago so I think is not that south) …
Some Good(some are top) Colleges that I think are in southern states are

Texas a&m college station
University of texas Austin
University of Tennesss Knoxiville
Georgia Institute of Technology

Sorry I do not know any other States in that part of America :p

Also:

Va Tech
Clemson Univ. (SC)
Auburn Univ. (AL)
NC State Univ.

Northeastern University comes to mind. It’ll offer you better Co-Ops than Purdue, but its engineering department isn’t as prestigious as Purdue.

@informative

Northeastern University is nothing like Purdue… it does have better co-op but seriously, it can’t be compared to purdue
