Schools like Tulane

Hello! I am currently a rising senior, and I plan to ED to Tulane. I really love Tulane because while students are studious and ambitious, there is also a big party scene ( I like the “work hard play hard” environment). New Orleans has such a rich culture with so many traditions and this is very appealing to me. I also love their focus on community service. Additionally, Tulane is the perfect size for me (nearly 8,000 undergraduates).

Although I am still applying ED to Tulane because it is my absolute first choice school, it is a big reach for me. I have a 3.75 unweighted GPA and a lot of extracurricular (although I have not taken on a leadership role in most of these activities). I have not yet taken the SAT, but I am registered to. Based off my practice tests, I believe that my score will be somewhere in the range of 1350-1410.

I would love it if I could get some suggestions for schools that are similar to Tulane but slightly less competitive to get into. I understand that this will likely mean that I need to sacrifice some things that I like about Tulane in exchange for a higher acceptance rate.

Hi! Thank you for the suggestions, I will look into all of those schools!

Sorry to not have specified this previously. I intend to pursue a major in Business.

As for budget, I am very very lucky to be able to say that I am not restricted by the price of a school. Please suggest schools regardless of price. Thank you!

University of Miami

ED will help you a lot. As will full pay status. Good to look for other options to get excited about though! My S got in Ed with a lower GPA than yours (with a pretty rigorous high school schedule). Another school you might check out is University of Denver. My S applied there and also U of Miami but withdrew the apps after getting in to Tulane.
