In the event this is the first of many please use this thread to post “new” decision dates for boarding schools.
Asheville School - New date for decision May 10, 2020.
I really hope more schools will follow suit on this! I am sure many families are really struggling with finalizing a decision, or even committing to boarding school at all until there is an indication that this situation will be resolved before the fall.
If this is important to anyone, do not forget: you can always ask for an extension! I know in my conversations with one AO last week, it was mentioned that this could be a possibility to investigate. (It wouldn’t help us, though, without other schools following suit.).
But let’s say you are narrowed down to two schools and both schools agree to extend, then you might get the breathing room you need. (That said, a couple of extra weeks also were meaningless for us, since it wouldn’t change the inability to revisit.).
But point is: If you need something, there is always a nice way to ask about it, IMO.
