<p>Hey I’m looking at some school now, and was hoping you guys could hook me up with some. </p>

<p>Stats: 2.3 GPA(I know) It’s mainly due to very very bad freshman year. The rest of school I got Cs and Bs, and I’m getting straight As this year(senior year). I also go to an extremely tough private prep school. All my classes are honors, and I have a crap load of credits. </p>

<p>ECs: Model UN 12th grade. Vice president of school music playing club. </p>

<p>Volunteer: 150 hours of community service doing stuff for local crisis center. </p>

<p>ACT: 25</p>

<p>Good essay, and great recs. I’m pretty good in interview situations too. </p>

<p>I know my stats are not that great, but I know there are places I can get in. I need to get out of state, it’s not that I don’t like my state(Florida) I’m just ready for something new, and sick of heat. I seriously crave winter here, mainly because the summer is unbearable. I’ve lived in colder climates before so I know I can handle a winter up north. </p>

<p>I’m mainly looking for a good campus in a great town. I’m looking in Ny, CT, MA, but some places in the midwest would be cool. </p>

<p>Skidmore is my first choice, but I probably won’t get in, so I was hoping somebody has a school similar to it in terms of overall campus environment I would be appreciative.</p>

<p>Look at Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont.</p>

<p>Take a look at Goucher, Clark, Stonehill, Hampshire, St. Michael’s. Goucher may be the most similar in terms of student body make-up and interests. The others are similar to Goucher in selectivity. All are less selective than Skidmore.</p>

<p>Skidmore is a former women’s college that went coed; same for Bennington and Goucher. Another such school is Connecticut College, which has a lot of applicant overlap with Skidmore. However, ConnColl is probably at least as selective as Skidmore, perhaps more so.</p>

<p>Have to look into Salve Regina–oceanside in Rhode Island’s mansion district–most beautiful campus I’ve visited. Also check out Marist in NY and Quinnipiac in CT.
