Schools That Don't Count Freshman Year

I have seen this issue mentioned, but was wonderring if a list exists. Just got son’s sophmore grades and with a harder schedule his 3.3 UW freshman year became a 4.0 UW this year. We also got his Math II SAT scores and he got an 800. So if this trend continues … Anyway he is a STEM kid, but I am sure other people would be interested in a list of schools that don’t look at freshman year of HS.

University of California and California State University schools (which includes the California Polytechnics) count only 10th and 11th grade course grades in the a-g subject areas, with +1 for up to 8 semesters of honors/AP courses with C or higher grades. (The 9th grade course grades in the a-g subject areas still need to be C or higher for the courses to count toward fulfilling the a-g subject areas.)

However, if you are not a California resident, do not expect much financial aid. CSUs’ “list price” is lower than that of many other out of state publics, including UC.
