Any there any schools that claim to discount writing or put little weight compared to math and reading?

University of Chicago

Reed College

It would probably be easier to ask which schools do count writing. Many, many do not.

Georgetown University

Reed, however, looks very closely at writing samples. They do not believe that the SAT writing portion tests the sort of writing a student would be doing at Reed.

Grinnell College

hmm, im guessing its mostly liberal arts schools that discount writing portion of SAT?

Notre Dame

^^really??

Very few schools put much weight on the writing portion. The reason being they have essays you have written and the numerous flaws with the writing portion. If you look at many schools websites when listing SAT scores of previous years it is general broken down out of 1600 as opposed to 2400.

This is a bummer, my highest score was on the writing by far haha
