I’m currently a junior in high school and I have no idea where to start looking. Does anyone have reccomendations for a school with a great pre-med program and a good Russian program? I know Middlebury has good language programs but I spoke to someone who was less than impressed with the Russian program. Any help is appreciated.

I actually live pretty close to there–any northeastern schools?

Premed is just a set of courses that you will need to apply to med school, and you can take them pretty much at any college in the country. For more info on premed coursework and colleges, check out these threads on the Pre-Med Topics forum:

Perhaps I should have been more specific–by a good pre-med program I mean one that sends a lot of grads to good medical schools and a good science department in general.

Georgetown’s Faculty of Languages and Linguistics is pretty popular, and the pre-med courses are rigorous as well.

Admission to medical school is totally based on your personal stats. Schools make very little difference in being admitted to medical school.

I suggest you turn most of your attention towards the language program. If you’re a hard worker you will be able to make it to medical school, regardless of undergrad.
