I have a child who is looking to go into international studies. He is looking to incorporate East Asian studies with Latin American studies. He wants to double major in these disciplines or incorporate them in some type of interdisciplinary program with business. He is open to locations all over. Would be interested in getting some feedback as to which schools and why. Thanks.

the usual suspects for top international studies are georgetown, tufts, american.

connecticut college is known for interdisciplinary centers with a big emphasis on international studies

The George Washington UNiversity in DC has a huge Asian Program - bigger than the “other” DC university which - because of an enormous donation from some sheik is concentrating heavily in Arab studies.

Thanks. Planning to hit the DC area this summer to check out the “usual suspects” in American, GWU, and Georgetown. Looking to get perspective on other programs as well.
