<p>Pretentious comes with wealth, and lots of kids at top schools are, coincidentally, wealthy (whereas the rest are either trying to be wealthy or aren’t interested in wealth, so thus are less pretentious). You’ll find pretentious people at Harvard, PTon, Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, etc. because they tend to have their fair share of alumni kids and wealthy high class people too. People who plan on being rich also start being pretentious early haha.</p>
