LOCKPORT – Roger Podwysocki has always loved science, and now he’ll get the chance to share his interest with other science fanatics.

The soon-to-be Lockport Township High School graduate will be one of two Illinois representatives at the 2007 National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia this summer.

Roger, who will be attending Princeton University in New Jersey in the fall to major in chemical engineering, is looking forward to making a short trip to Washington D.C. He is eager to tour research facilities in the nation’s capital.

Although Roger is majoring in chemical engineering, material science is his biggest interest.

“I think it would be great to pioneer a new super material,” he said.
