This thread has finally become understandable in normal-speak. What happened to the walls of text and quotes?

What are you talking about? Lol. I’m using science and religion together because evolutionists are religious, too. There should not be such a fight about which is “right”. They both have theories and both do not contradict each other. The only reason why there is a “war” is because people are literates when it comes to what evolution * really* is.

Did you not read the first 45 pages of this thread?

“Literates” makes no sense in that context.

^^no, why would i read 45 pages worth of people fighting? That takes too much time.

^ I was saying it that most people do not understand evolution and what it really is. “people evolved from monkeys” which is completely false.

Oops I didn’t mean literate I meant illiterate.

Or we can say that it is seven days in the dimension that God resides in, so that they seven days are seven days in God’s dimension, not ours. A possibility.

^yup, either way you can make evolution and religion coincide. Why fight over it? There are holes everywhere in evolution and religion, just put them together. As for myself, I’m not religious but I still respect others.

I expect they’ll come back when mifune does…

^Oh, it was so lovely here - but it was only to be for a short time.

How sad. :(

Why what happened?

Each has their own merit. Religious parables taken as fact lead to stupidity. But meaningful lessons can be learned from religion, and shunning all human spirituality, which has been instilled in our species from its inception, is sheer madness. Science is useful, but only as a means to an end: the betterment of our species. Science for science’s sake is useless; moreover, it is dangerous. Neither science nor religion is perfect [in our meager human understanding of either], but as tools they can and should be used to their fullest.

MosbyMarion - re: your last set of posts, you are still making scientific claims that dont exist. Your going to have to take a ton of science and logical reasoning classes before you come even close to a level of discussing this intelligently. The sad thing is that you cant see why your reasoning is so bad and that people who dont know any better think you have a good argument. Keep us all laughing w/ your thoughts that evolution doesnt exist, the earth is 6000 yrs old and that dinosaurs walked along with humans and only died out a few thousand years ago.

^ I’d be interested to hear exactly what parts of my claims you consider invalid, so I can either defend them or remove them. If you won’t tell me why you consider my argument invalid, how can I improve it?

Oh gawd, not again.

/refuses to click on this link ever again

I’m surprised the thread has lasted this long with the absurd amounts of ad hominem going on.

Alright everybody, can we agree that both have their roles in society and move on? The length of this thread indicates that the main arguers have too much time to argue over the course of a month.

I believe that this comic, [xkcd: Duty Calls](xkcd: Duty Calls)

accurately describes this thread

^Do I know you? Someone I know seems to be able to have one of those xkcd comics ready for every situation ever lol.

^Psh, I think there’s one than more person in this world who has an xkcd comic ready for everything. :)
