<p>For someone interested in pre-med, how is umich in prep. for med school? Are the biology and chemistry majors popular?</p>
<p>Premed is very popular here, though lots of people switch after their first year because they realize they can’t handle the necessary work (ie, failing orgo or calc). I’m not knowledgable enough to quote statistics, let alone know where to find them, but I know we do a good job at placing people into med school.</p>
<p>Our placement rate is about 60% I believe.</p>
