Anyone think I can increase my score for reading and writing in two days? I consistently score 580s on writing and about a 550 in reading. Any tips?

Read silverturtle’s guide religiously for two days. (especially the writing section)
Maybe three times a day… and you’ll increase your writing score at least 100 points.

I personally think reading takes long term effort.

For reading after doing about 5 practice tests it just clicked for the MC and I started seeing and understanding the questions. Youll know what im talking about when it happens. You should be in the 700-800 range at that point depending on passage difficulty and vocab

Thanks guys! Will do.

Same here although it took about 10 practice tests to score a 700…I just suck a reading lol.
DH is helpful for vocab, I used to get the last 3 wrong for vocab in each section. Now I just get 1 or 2 wrong in total on the whole sats :)

I did 5 practice tests in one week(this week), and started getting lower on CR because I overworked myself, and I interpret too much. To score well on CR you basically have to be relaxed about it, and not think too much about the answers or passage. JUST COMPREHEND well. The better you comprehend, the quicker you’ll finish, and thus the better you can score by double checking.

So I know what position you are in because I’ve been scoring around 400s for about all I remember. Just practice. That’s how I’m getting low 600s now.

PSAT coming up and my sis’s SAT is tomorrow. It worked for both of us. She’s getting 750s. I’m getting around 620s. :)
