What was the maximum score increase for those who scored at or around 2000 at their first sitting for the SAT Reasoning Test?

i took the kaplan course tests and scored 2000’s…supposedly they were the most accurate.

i got a 1870

I’ll tell you where they can stick their practice tests…

My friend got a 2200 the first time she took it in March with minimal studying.

She only increased by 10 points on the May SAT, and she studied A LOT MORE for that…

Went from 2090 to 2250
Studyed alot for first one with minimal studying for second…wierd how it worked out

March - 1950
May - 2100

150 point increase in Writing, 10 point increase in CR, 10 point decrease in Math

I really studied the grammar stuff.

I didn’t study at all for the first one and got 2030 in November, then studied for a few weeks and got 2210 in May so for me it was most def worth it.

Space Ranger, I agree, Kaplan is way too easy.

My first time:

660 verbal
690 math
630 writing

My second time:

780 verbal
750 math
730 writing

I took Kaplan, got 2110 as my highest score on the practice tests. The rest were 1870, 1940, and something in the low 2000’s.

I took the May SAT (1st time) and got a 2230. I regularly scored 12’s on essays in Kaplan and got an 11 on the actual exam.

Call me perfectionist but I think one of the essay graders is a bit stupid for not giving me a 6 since I wrote an amazing essay (Vanderbilt university and The Matrix used as examples for materialism essay).

If I got a 12 on the essay, I would have had 800 rather than 780 on writing. Oh well.

Kaplan is not really worth the money

It is meant for lazy kids (whether they’re smart like me or not)

I didn’t really prepare for the SAT at all except for in-class prep with Kaplan (I never even did the Kaplan HW)

I think a prep class is a great motivational tool to study and practice if you have the money (like me)

I think the Kaplan’s BOOK isn’t even worth the money, much less the course.
