Could you guys score my SAT essay? I got a 6 from The Princeton Review. It’s from one of their diagnostic tests and after I scored it using their student tools they gave me a terrible 6. I think mine deserves at least an 8. I got a 11 on my previous test essay which was a pleasant surprise but I normally get 9’s. But I have NEVER gotten a 6! This is the 1st time and the timing is horrible because the real SAT is in 2 days! My confidence has been totally destroyed. Please tell me what you’d grade it.

On the topic of censorship, Supreme Court Justice William Brennan wrote that “the Government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable.” However, John Wheeler, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Committee, has said, “Vietnam was the first war ever fought without any censorship. Without censorship, things can get terribly confused in the public mind.”

Assignment: Is censorship always a bad thing? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

By the way, here’s The Princeton Review’s feedback:
You have put in good effort! However, more details are needed in the stated examples. Also, make sure to tie the examples clearly to the prompt. Good luck.
Additional Feedback:
Write more neatly.
Clean up the overall appearance of your essay.
