Just curious. exactly how rare is a 2390? I can’t seem to find many useful stats on this hoping if the knowledgeable cc posters can help me
out here

I struggle to see the importance of this.

less rare than a 2400 I suspect but still in the 99.9999 percentile…

A 2390 is ridiculously rare and definately in the top 99.9999999 . . . percentile.

hmmm well on the first sat testing session. 107 out of around 300000 got perfect scores. so rarity of a perfect score is at most 1/3000. cube root that to get a rough estimate of rarity for an 800 in each section and square that for the rarity of 2 800s. so you get a rarity of about 1/200 for a 1600 in any combination of 2 subjects. I’m guessing 2390 is around 1/500 rarity.

why would you cube root ?

All you need is divide by 3
