Score Reports with No-Show Dates?

I did not attend the November SAT for the reasons cited on this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/1022890-2340-oct-scheduled-nov-sat.html

However, when I originally signed up for the exam I ordered a score report (one of the four free ones) that would send both the November and October SAT scores to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for finalist status. Despite the fact that I did not take the November test, the collegeboard website still says that my scores from both tests are being sent to the NMSC. Will they only get my October scores, and can I use up my last three free November score reports with the “blank” November SAT + other tests, or will I have to purchase completely new reports that don’t involve the Nomber SAT at all? N.B. Today is the last day that I can send the free score reports.

Your not showing up for the test means test is automatically cancelled. That also means cancellation of the sending of any scores at all (prior ones) to the colleges you may have listed or for the NMSC and if you go in now and list any colleges on that registration it will be a futile act. They won’t note the cancellation until Nov scores come out so understand that you must ignore what you are seeing because you have lost all your free sends.

The only way those October scores are going to get to any college or NMSC is for you to do a separate send of those scores and pay a $10 fee per college or organization for the send. Note if you actually included the NMSC as one of your free sends when you registered for the October test, it would have already been sent.

Thanks a lot–that makes sense.
