I ordered my score reports via College Board last night and am slightly worried that they will not make it to my schools on time. While they say 3-5 weeks for delivery (and rushing is a waste of time), I’ve heard that is just to cover themselves and scores are usually sent within a week. If thats not the case, and the worst case scenario (with my harvard app due the 14th of feb) will I be penalized if my scores arrive after the deadline despite the fact that my app is already in their posession?

chill.

(app due on valentine’s? lovely :P)

Haha…Thanks Brah.

My daughter ordered scores online in October. They were sent out two days later, despite the warning that it would take several weeks. You are probably just fine.

Do watch over it and make sure CB shows the scores as sent (and Harvard shows them as received if there’s a way to see that). Save your CB confirmations and, if there’s a problem, you can mention the dates and that you got confirmations if you have to contact Harvard. Might not help but you’ll feel better and will be able to handle any problems more effectively both on the Harvard and on the CB ends.

IF the scores don’t get there, call CB and ask to speak to a supervisor. Get a name and let Harvard know the action that was promised, who promised, when, and the problem resolution number if CB gives you one. Again, follow through and watch to make sure the scores arrive.

But don’t worry. The scores will probably be there next week.

Good luck.

What Grace said. If your school has an online app tracker, you will be able to see they’ve arrived. If they don’t, you can check with Harvard some time after the deadline. It won’t matter if the scores come later than the deadline.

Seconded; just have the main application in. The schools recognize that recs, SAT scores, and such could come later.
