scores won't keep me out, right?

hi, i like yale =]

(just asking about scores!)

A-PEESSS

Your scores are fine. I would worry about making yourself stand out from the crowd now (i.e. good ECs, furthering a passion of yours [music was mine, for example], getting involved outside of school [community service, etc.], and whatnot).

^yay! you got into princeton!

What scores are you worried about? Your scores are fine. They’re in the range that gets you considered. You need to work on essays, recs, and show your passion about 1 EC.

why would you think these scores will prevent admission?

^well because i have <2300

I had less than a 2300 but still got in. Your admissions is not based solely on scores.

^well congrats, livin up to your username, mythbuster!!

Think of it this way. Once you get the 2180(??I think??), you’re already in the 99th percentile so I dont know how it could hurt to get SAT scores that are lower than 0.005% of test-takers.
