<p>They are the ones that make the beats that attract so many people to the songs. They are the unseen artsits. For example: Nelly Furtado(sp?) would be nothing without Timbaland. He gave her her first big break. Tell me if you disagree. With that said who do you think is the best producer out there?</p>

<p>My favorite producer is DJ Premier. His work in Gang Starr was incredible, and he’s made dope beats for Nas, Biggie etc.</p>

<p>Actually, Nelly Furtado’s 2000 or 2001 single “I’m like a Bird” was written by her and peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, went 2x platinum and won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, so actually she was something before her 2006 album “Loose” that was heavily produced by Timbaland. </p>
<p>Anyways, yes I do think that Timbaland is the greatest producer and has created many hits, including the smash hit “Apologize”, performed by the relatively unknown band, OneRepublic. He is incredibly diverse and a musical genius.</p>
<p>Kanye is the biggest name that i know. he’s a better producer than a rapper, imo.</p>
<p>from a local standpoint, i love the beats put out by Big Scoob, but he’s only somewhat known even in KC.</p>
