Screwed lol.

I am very confused with my SAT situation as of right now so any help would be much appreciated.

I am signed up for the SAT tomorrow.
I already have taken once and scored a 1410 (640 M 770 CR). On the next test i was aiming for a 750 in math and an 800 in CR.
My practice tests have me at a 770-800 in CR and around a 690-700 in math (at best) and i have not even started prepping for the writing which i previously had 680 on and wanted to hit 750.

Should i take a chance with this June SAT, which i’ve heard to be the most difficult?

It gets more complicated because If i choose not to take the test, i will have two test dates left for Emory ED, or so i believe. (October 10,2009 and November 7,2009).

That gives me one date for Subject Tests and one SAT I OR if i get the 1500 - 1550 on the SAT I tomorrow (if i choose to take it lol) then it gives me 2 Subject Test dates.

I do have the option to cancel for tomorrow’s test but I’m not sure if i should.

Should i…

Take the test tomorrow and try to hit 1500 or so,
or
Should i wait until the October SAT and take my subject tests in November with no chance at taking the SAT Subject Tests on two different dates (October and November)?

Take the June SAT even though I’m scoring at a bare 1500 and that too without the prep done?

please please pleaaaaaaaase answer. I really am at a loss and I need to know by 12:00 in order to cancel my test or not.

Thanks for everything. :)

Just out of curiousity, where did you hear that the June SAT exam was the hardest? I am a little newer at this college search process but I had never heard that one SAT exam was harder than the others.

Different months are the same difficulty lol -___- Just take it tomorrow, don’t waste the money.

Id say just take it man. Im kinda in the same boat as you. Barely done any prep and was thinking of cancelling it to October…But then I realized, my score most likely wont be much different in October anyway, and I really dont wanna put off the SAT for another whole FOUR months. Maybe if there was one in July, I would cancel this one but the next one is in October…

Id say take it now, be done with it, if you dont do as you want then you take it again in October, or decide to just take the Subject Tests in October and see how those are and then decide whichever test you wanna do again in November

Take it now if you have not taken any. It does not really hurt you if you don’t do your best on your first test and your practice test indicate that you will do alright. Cancel it and you risk being sick or some unforeseen event for your next test. At least you have some baseline scores to show for.

Also, you can quickly go over some basic grammar rules that are usually tested for in the writing section. You can do that quickly in a couple of hours tonight with an SAT prep book. Knowing those rules and common mistakes in a sentence will go a long way to help you with writing section.

I really think there should be one in July. It’s almost “not fair.” That’s when everybody has the most free time, so they can sit down and atually study for a bit without other worries.

The collegeboard strategically places it’s SAT and AP test dates to really **** you off.
