<p>Agreed. At least it was a nice letter. I am amazed there were 700 applicants that had their applications in by November 1st. I wonder how that compares to last year and what impact it may have on the overall admissions stats. </p>

<p>So sorry for those who did receive positive news. I’m sure everything will work out for the best though, and you will all get into great schools.</p>
<p>But WOW over 700 applicants for the scholarships?!?! My Naviance account says that fewer than 2000 applications were received in total last year.</p>
<p>My d, now three years ago, did not get invited for the scholarship weekend but she got a substantial grant and small amt of loans and they did increase her grant award when we appealed the aid package. So, be patient and await your acceptance and financial award package. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. Good luck, Scripps is drop dead gorgeous and a great school.</p>

<p>Probably will be withdrawing my Scripps application since I was accepted to Georgetown EA and would absolutely attend Gtown over Scripps now that the scholarship’s out of the question. I’d rather give someone else the chance to attend since I know I won’t be!</p>

<p>wow! all of your stats are great. mine were a little below that, and i too did not get invited to the scholarship weekend. however, im not withdrawing my application. i am waiting to hear back from all my colleges and see what financial aid i will get from each of them before i make my decisions.</p>
