Hi! Does Scripps offer a STEM OPT for economics? I haven’t found any leads while researching them…
A straight up econ major is not one of the OPT majors. Econometrics, Econ and CS, and mathematical econometrics are on the list, as well as a few more:
If you are unclear about a school’s major, call them (international admissions or even the academic dept) and ask.

College Navigator - Scripps College does say that 20 recent graduates from Scripps had a major in econometrics and quantitative economics (the “STEM” economics major).

But note that Scripps offers two versions of economics major: Program: Economics Major - Scripps College - Modern Campus Catalog™
Check whether one or both are counted as “econometrics and quantitative economics”.
And don’t assume that the current immigration policy is going to continue for the next five years (assuming OP is still in HS). With an “America First” administration in power, I don’t expect every aspect of our current visa/green card protocol to continue. There are loud voices claiming that non-native born people are taking jobs away from “Americans”. Not being political here- but stating what their messaging has been. They believe that current visa programs disadvantage American citizens.
So do NOT choose a major based on OPT status today!!! Do not!!!
