I hope you guys receive your decisions soon. Try to contact the student ombudsman if you can.
Soleva, did you call or email to file your complaint with student ombudsman? I am still waiting to hear on my appeal and they never asked me for my spring grades. Thank you.
I emailed ombudsman. I was referred to another department to email, they responded pretty quick. They apologized and acknowledged that it has taken more time than expected. From the reply I got it sounds like most if not the rest of us will hear the results of the appeal or receive a request for our spring grades next week most likely.
I still have not received any notification on the status of my appeal even though I filed it in mid march. When I check the WebPortal nothing has changed since I was first denied. I’m not sure what to do at this point.
I got an email this morning requesting I send in my spring grades by next Monday. My grades are from Oregon and I have to put in a mail order. They do not expedite transcripts so I am hoping they process and get it out quick.
Just received an email this morning notifying me that SDSU is unable to approve my appeal. This sucks. I applied with a 4.0 GPA (+0.1 boost from AS-T, so 4.1 GPA), with all major requirements finished by Spring 2019. Business Administration major. Attended one of the top CC’s with transfer rates in CA. It’s ridiculous that it’s this hard to get into a CSU. Also got waitlisted to Cal Poly SLO, only to be notified last month that they couldn’t take me from the waitlist. Best of luck to the rest of you.
I’m sorry to hear that @bayareamark :(. May I ask what your basis for appeal was? Did the ever ask for your transcripts in recent weeks?
@RipCity11 They never asked for any transcripts and never contacted me beyond notifying me that my appeals package had been received and was now under review. I had no true basis for my appeal other than that I believe I should have been accepted regarding the fact that I had the highest GPA possible and all of the prerequisites completed. I think that with a 4.0 (4.1 weighted) GPA and all prerequisites completed, I should be able to get into any CSU. I was also rejected as a high school applicant and was advised to reapply for a future term, which I did—but with no success yet again. Transfers are supposedly given higher priority with the admissions process, but I believe that isn’t the case. I worked to attain the highest transferable GPA possible AND completed all the required coursework, so what more do they want? I have a hard time believing that THOUSANDS of other applicants had a stronger application than mine.
I still haven’t heard back on my end. Anyone else have an update?
I got in yesterday! Now I just have to figure everything out before Monday to get started.
