By hand?
@Isaacccc i had a 3.83 CSU gpa with a 30 superscored ACT but my SAT was 1280 superscored…and i got in in the middle of December for computer engineering. My course rigor this year is hard, so I am not sure if that makes a big difference as they also look at the classes you take senior year. Your SAT score is higher than average of those who gt admitted last year, however the average GPA of those who got in last year was a 3.9 and a 3.6 is below that. But for your major, I don’t believe it is impacted. I feel like you have a decent chance of getting in. But always keep an open mind. Hope this helps!
If I turned in both SAT’s to the cal state application will they superscore it automatically?
@littlebuoy215: Yes to the above question ^^^^
Son was admitted to SDSU in December and just waitlisted at Cal Poly business administration. He really liked SDSU a lot after a tour. He’s considering submitting Weber Honors application (should have done it back in December but procrastinated). Any SDSU students or parents with kids that have experienced Weber? Is the honors college really that different?
Staying at the Zura residence hall is one of the main benefits for Honors students. My D has been accepted into Weber for Fall 2018 so we don’t have any real life experience but the listed benefits do look worthwhile: https://newscenter.sdsu.edu/dus/uhc/college_benefits.aspx
if you haven’t heard back as an oos applicant can you basically assume you didn’t get in?
@biscuit4reggie The application was due back in January. Everyone was notified of their admission decision at the end of February
What are chances with e.i. of 4424 for television and new media?
@gabbyjohn1030 I think the 1/15 deadline was for priority consideration. The deadline to submit is 3/30. There are students that have already been accepted and some waitlisted and as it’s 1st come 1st served, I realize chances are slim now.
@biscuit4reggie It’s definitely worth writing the essay if you think there’s a good chance you might go. Many of those who have been selected for Weber will ultimately choose another school.
@CopperlineX2 I was thinking the same thing about those already accepted. S would likely choose SDSU over Cal Poly SLO and UCSB, UCD, or UCI (if accepted). He really liked SDSU a lot. Looks like he will spend the weekend working on that 700 word essay!
Does anyone know if in state decisions will be out by march 17th since that’s when the open house thing is?
I wouldn’t assume anything. They accepted a small number back in December, but seems to be random. My daughter’s friend got in in December and had a lower gpa and lower act score than she did, neither were in impacted majors. Most applicants both in state and oos have not heard yet.
@Cat420 that has been the question here for the last few weeks. No one knows when the decisions will be released. Having a later admit day would have been a good idea given the delay in notifying applicants. Good luck!
Has anyone received any notification today? We are past close of business, so it looks like the “next week we will hear from SDSU” message will be used often this weekend
My son is still listed as “pending,” but is that tantamount to “not accepted” at this point?
@BayAreaLocal I’d say everyone still has a chance. They only have release the high stats so far. There are a ton of us still waiting to hear. Sure wish they would release soon since their visit day is next saturday.
@BayAreaLocal did son apply business admin for SDSU? Did teacher bump his 7th semester grade that was causing concern?
Has anyone heard of any nursing majors receiving notification?
UCD denial received yesterday. Crisis control mode until the rest hit.
