SDSU Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

I emailed SDSU admissions a couple of weeks ago asking if decisions would be out before the open house and they just answered me saying, “Unfortunately, we are experiencing a delay in finalizing admission decisions. We expect to release them within the last two weeks of March, possibly into early April.”

What are my chances with a EI of 4225 for a business administration major?

Instate ^ Latino

@fashionista99 thank you for clarifying. What about the academics and teaching at cal state LA? Is sdsu better? I am a film major.

Anybody else apply under communications? How hard is it to enter at SDSU? If I was rejected from SLO does that mean I will most likely be rejected from SDSU too?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 For CSU LA, I don’t think there’s specifically a film major. There’s just TV, Film, and Media Studies. And I know with that, you can branch off to different majors I guess but yeah. Anyways, I know they have a 25:1 Student to Faculty ratio and depending on your major, class sizes will reflect that. Classes aren’t usually that big, unless you get into the sciences and stuff, which have the big lecture halls. I do remember during my tour, the guide stated something about the TV, Film and Media field and how many people can make appointments with their professors if they ever need help. With those studies specifically, I assume that it is very hands on, so it makes sense.

Does anyone know anything about the musical theatre program at SDSU compared to other CSU programs. I can’t find much on the web for the undergrad program. I know they have a good relationship with The Old Globe for the MFA. Also wondering if the MFA’s overshadow the undergrads.

@fashionista99 thank you. This seems to make sense. i applied to some CSU schools and I want to make sure i choose the right one for me. i think CSUN, CSULB and SDSU come first if I am not mistaken?

However, still waiting for CSU LA to reply.

I have applied to SDSU, I live in San Diego and have a 3.75 gpa and 1090 SAT. I am majoring in elementary education but I still have not heard from SDSU, should I be worried?

@jgraves2018 No worries. i havent heard back from sdsu either yet. i think they are releasing by the end of march or there may be some applicants getting their decision posted earlier. Dont worry

is bio super competitive at sdsu?

Hope I get in.

@guadaloop hahah those are my exact stats i hope i get in too, where else did you apply and get in?

@rocknix nice! I applied to CSUF, CSLA, Cal Poly Pomona, UCR, UCSB, UCSD, UCB, and University of San Francisco. Got accepted by CSLA, CSUF, UCR, USF. Rejected by UCSD (rip). What about you?

I feel like I have been checking my web portal 20 times a day since mid feb. At this point its actually crazy not everyone knows, considering they had their open house thing where they wanted accepted applicants to commit to SDSU!! Ughhh its so frustrating.
as a nursing student I know my chances of getting in are low to begin with, but I just want to know!!
